About: There are certain views that stick with me a long time. The view from my Omaha backyard, a vacation view from an apartment in Paris when I was 14, the view from swim rock on my summer in the boundary waters…. but sometimes a simple view is even more enchanting. I caught this scene from my bedroom window when the light was fading but glowy on a warm evening. The energy was dreamlike and potent. I photographed it over and over again, but needed to paint the moment to really capture that feeling.
