Day Dream
Original Multi-Media Piece, 2019
One of my sketches from figure drawing practice really tugged at my imagination. I iterated on it here, adding atmosphere and imaginary context. When I see and draw people, I can’t help but wonder where their thoughts drift… a shopping list?.. a fantasy?… a memory?
Also, I day dream a lot. And I enjoy it. This piece is also about that.
Watercolor wash on 90# cold press watercolor paper
Colored pencil illustration on mylar, secured with hand stitching in red thread
The piece is just a hair larger than the mat window. It is secured to backing with linen tape.
Matted with an acid free, 8-ply, off-white mat in a standard size for simple framing
Total dimensions 16” x 20”
Mat window dimensions 11” x 14”
*Artist’s Note: Slight rippling of the paper is normal with water media, this will be greatly reduced under the pressure of any frame.
