Floating
Original Drawing and Watercolor
I drew this airy feather with watercolor pencil atop a still-wet watercolor wash. The effect was even more feather-like. I liked it so well that I hung onto it for several years, tucked in my portfolio. Matting and sharing it now to give it a new life.
90# coldpress watercolor paper, secured to backing with linen tape
Matted with an acid free, 8-ply, off-white mat in a standard size for simple framing
Total dimensions 20” x 16”
Mat window dimensions 11” x 14”
*Artist’s Note: Slight rippling of the paper is normal with water media, this will be greatly reduced under the pressure of any frame.
Also, you may have noticed this piece is waiting for it’s signature. I thought I would add the signature and title after purchase so that I can customized with a brief memo for you if you like (such as “for Cynthia” or “Happy Anniversary“).
