Original Watercolor Illustration
Occasionally, I organize old work, and last year, I came across illustrations I had made in watercolor class waaaay back in college. The series was called Creepin’ in Rolvaag because I took my drawing board to various corners of Rolvaag Memorial Library and drew other unsuspecting students at work. One semester, I worked the graveyard shift, closing down that library at 2am on Tuesdays. I’m sure it is one part nostalgia, but I love these simple drawings. They are from 2007 or 2008 but we will simply call them vintage. I had custom mats made for them so they will be easy to frame and hang after all these years in a portfolio.
Watercolor and ink on cold press watercolor paper
The illustration is just a little larger than the mat window. It is secured to backing with linen tape.
Matted with an acid free and archival, 4-ply mat in a standard size
Total dimensions 11” x 14”
Mat window dimensions 4” x 4”
*Artist’s Note: I framed this for demonstration, but the frame is not included with this piece. 11” x 14” frames are standard and available at any major retailer.
