Summer Sketchbook Snippet:

This month’s print is a reproduction of a recent (July 2021) drawing I made in my sketchbook.

I’ve been wrapping up a pregnancy, which has my mind mulling the present moment. My letter runs through some of the bigger questions in life: Why am I doing what I am doing, what landed me here?

I share a Rilke poem that moved me too. Mother Nature and poetry really did help me settle with some of these bigger thoughts.

I try to share a little of the immersive wonder I feel for the nostalgic places and the natural world in this simple drawing. The print came out beautifully!

Enjoy the tail end of your summer. It’s one of my favorite times of year.
