Noticing Nature’s Rhythm:

This month’s print is a reproduction of a recent (September 2021) oil painting on paper. It is called Going to Seed II.

Fall is in full swing and though the days are going by quickly, I’m finding myself noticing seasonal nuance everywhere. The behavior of the birds in my new neighborhood and the changes in the weeds on my walks capture my attention over and over.

I am slowly coming out of a postpartum phase and anticipating a busy next few months, so I’ve poured some energy into goal setting in the studio. I’m using Nature’s cues and subtle persistence as encouragement as I look to build good habits. I also cheerlead myself constantly. All the details, and some of the little sticky notes that I use to goad myself along, are included in this month’s mailing.

It is fun to share a reproduction of such recent work along with the headspace that birthed it.
