waltzing into a mind maze
This month’s print is a reproduction of a 2018 oil painting: “In the Suburbs.”
I’ve been juggling 2 head spaces; managing my energy for tomorrow’s tasks while trying to angle my goals into a bigger and hopeful future. It feels like I’m in a little kid’s maze, bumping into walls and finding little rewards as I go along. In my letter, I share the 10-year-planning exercise that is running on loop in my brain so that you can join me. Hint - it includes daydreaming about a fictional, big, white, old, country house.
This month the treat is a call to contribute to my sketchbook. I sent along an addressed envelope to make it simple. Won’t you please mail me a scrap of your surroundings? After connecting with your worlds via Mother’s Day messages in May, I’m starving for small details from your world. They may become part of my future work.
I hope the sumptuous June weather keeps you cheerful until next month!
