My lilacs and my apple tree are blooming in turn and the dandelions are having their way with the yard.

I’m emerging from some anxiety into the most gorgeous weather and simply witnessing the details of this season: both the personal one and the natural one. And I’m taking inspiration from a couple of almanacs that prove the value in noticing and documenting this moment. I explain them and share photographic evidence of my early immersion in nature.

I watercolored a dandelion for you this month. It is called How My Garden Grows. And I illustrated a tiny honey bee and made it into a bookmark for you… and honestly for me. I hope to read a little more this summer and to notice more little natural things.
